The union catalogue of Japanese books is a co-operative project to improve access to Japanese research materials in the UK, and is the first international project of NII (formerly NACSIS). With the aim of facilitating the cataloguing of Japanese materials and thus contributing towards the formation of a worldwide union catalogue of Japanese books, NII has made NACSIS-CAT available free of charge to participants in the project.
